Playing the game
How do I move and whack?
Drag anywhere on the left half of the screen to swim. Tap the big button on the right to tail-whack (hold it to keep whacking). Double-tap or flick on the left side to dash. The smaller lightning button calls King Triton, but you only have a few calls, so save them!
What's the difference between Full Adventure and Quick Play?
Full Adventure is 13 stages (about 10 minutes) ending with the Kraken. Quick Play is 4 stages (about 3 minutes) with the Kraken at the end.
Can I stop and finish later?
Yes. Tap pause (top-right), then Save & Exit. Next time, tap Resume on the title screen.
I ran out of hearts. Is the game over?
Never! Tap Continue to try the stage again. You keep your Triton calls.
Where did my scores go?
Scores and stars are saved on the device. They're removed if the app is deleted, and they don't move to a new device.
World Scores (online scoreboard)
How do we turn it on?
On the title screen, tap World Scores. A grown-up answers a quick maths question and reads what's shared, then your child picks a made-up player name. Finished games are added to the board automatically.
My name says it's hidden while a grown-up takes a look. Why?
Another player reported the name, so it's hidden until a real person at Mimmaids HQ reviews it, usually within a day. Scores are saved in the meantime and come back if the name is fine.
My name was removed.
We keep names friendly and anonymous. Real names, words that might upset someone, and anything that looks like contact details aren't allowed. Tap Pick a new name on the World Scores screen.
Someone has a name that isn't nice.
Tap the ••• next to it and choose Report name. We'll review it, and it disappears from your board right away. You can also choose Hide player to stop seeing them.
Does World Scores work offline?
The game does. Scores from games finished offline are sent the next time the device is online.
Deleting your child's information
The game itself doesn't send us anything personal. If you turned on World Scores, you can delete the player name and every score at any time:
- Open Mimmaids and tap World Scores on the title screen.
- Tap Turn off & delete at the bottom.
- Answer the grown-up question, then tap Delete everything.
It's removed from our server immediately. Prefer email, or no longer have the app? Write to support@mimmaids.com with the World Scores player name, and we'll delete it and confirm. Inactive World Scores players are deleted automatically after 12 months.
